Kim’s propositions on humanity

The always brilliant Kim Fabricius has given us another set of ten propositions, this time on “being human.” He lists the following insightful theses:
  1. To be human is to be contingent.
  2. To be human is to be self-contradictory.
  3. To be human is to be physical.
  4. To be human is to be spiritual.
  5. To be human is to be relational.
  6. To be human is to be responsible
  7. To be human is to be ludic.
  8. To be human is to be doxological.
  9. To be human is to be Christ-like.
  10. To be human is to be glorified.
I strongly recommend that people read Kim’s past lists of theses; they are all insightful, provocative, and profitable for us all. They include propositions on the Trinity, preaching, penal substitution, hell, and peace. You can find them here at Faith and Theology.

at F&T I have argued that Fabricius owes us an account of how humans are 'physical' and 'spiritual' at the same time. It also seems to me that he needs to say how they are 'self-contradictory' and 'christ-like' at the same time too. His list seems caught between two poles. On the one hand it is a description of human life as actually lived, on the other hand it is a prescriptive judgment about what sinless life ought to be, as exemplified in Christ.
