2007 Warfield Lectures - Lecture V: “Death and Sacrifice”

WTM has posted his summary and comments on the fifth of the 2007 Warfield Lectures by Kathryn Tanner, “Death and Sacrifice.” Tanner here develops a doctrine of the atonement on the basis of Christ’s incarnation. She seeks to move away from an emphasis upon expiation and suffering and toward a loving divine action seeking reconciliation with humanity which takes concrete form in the person of Jesus Christ.
