Back in Portland ...

My wife and I are back in Portland, Oregon for an extended vacation until August 24—though with PhD applications and papers to write, it will be a rather busy “vacation.” Here are a couple pictures of our hometown.

Portland is glad to have you! You missed the freaking hot weather. I'm sure the rain will have you feeling at home. It would be nice to run into eachother at some point...

my sister lives in Eugene...Hope the vacation treats you will.

I am beginning applications as well...we should commiserate [and, hopefully, celebrate later].
